Kennedy Learning Commons
The Learning Commons is a responsive and interactive learning environment at the heart of Kennedy Junior High School. Students drive the learning experience through engaging in opportunities for innovation and creation, communication and collaboration, inquiry and research, and activities to promote lifelong growth in literacy.
Learning experiences promote critical thinking, self-directed learning, pursuit of individual student interests, and students’ need for exploration. The Learning Commons supports a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility to achieve school improvement goals among staff, parents, and community. With the learner and learning as the central focus, the experience in the Learning Commons impacts student achievement and growth.
Hours: School days from 7:50 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
